Prior to starting JEI in 1985 John Evans spent 15 years running container depots. It was in his depot in Leeds during the early 1980's that hand-held computers were first used for container inspection and estimating. The benefits of such technology, are now widely accepted and employed.   Present With over 140 systems installed in six continents JEI are market leaders in systems for Container Depots, Repairers, Inspection, Estimating and M&R control. JEI are unique in having developed automatic translation and input links to third party systems including Hapag Lloyd, Maersk, Mitsui, Cedex, Evergreen, Grimaldi. We also have automatic links to accounts packages including Solomon, Peachtree, Coda. All systems have personal installation and training with ongoing support provided from our Middlesbrough office.   Future We are investing heavily in the latest IT developments with particular focus on platfrom & vendor independent technologies including upcoming Internet technologies.
